Garden Center Manager
I have had a love for plants ever since I was a little girl playing in my mother’s garden. My love of plants followed me all the way through college at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture for Floriculture and The University of Massachusetts Amherst for Plant and Soil Science. It was during my Stockbridge orientation that I first heard of Nantucket and Bartlett’s Farm. When researching internship opportunities my freshman year and decided to apply to that Farm on Nantucket I had heard all about. I spent 3 summers behind the scenes working with Pete, the head grower, as an intern during summer breaks from college. After graduating from school I spent time off island working at a botanical garden and large nursery but the call of the island spoke to me and I returned to the farm year round in 2002 as the perennial grower where I fed my passion for tall summer blooming perennials. In 2005 I was offered and I accepted the position of Garden Center manager. Since then I have been working closely with the staff and customers educating them on the proper plants for the right location. When I am not in the garden center, I spend my days running around, playing in the dirt with my daughter and husband.
