Fairy Cakes England

Ingredients

  • 75 g. (3 oz) margarine
  • 75 g. (3 oz) white sugar
  • 100 g. (4 oz) self-raising flour
  • 2 medium eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar well. 
  2. Add slightly beaten eggs, and beat well. 
  3. Sieve the flour into the mixture, add the salt and fold well.
  4. Add enough milk to make the mixture into a soft dropping consistency.
  5. Spoon batter into greaseproof baking cups and bake in a 350 (F) or 160(C) oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from cups when cool
  7. Serve plain or topped with fresh fruit and cream.
