Maryland Blue Crab Grilled Cheese Sandwich**

  • Something Natural herb bread
  • Extra sharp cheddar
  • Lump blue crab meat
  • Old Bay seasoning
  • Cream cheese
  • Fig preserves


  1. Butter a skillet and heat to medium/low. 
  2. Place two slices of bread in the skillet.
  3. On one slice stack extra sharp cheddar (1/8” thick), lump blue crab meat, a very generous sprinkling of Old Bay and small chunks of cream cheese. 
  4. On the other slice, spread the fig preserves.
  5. Cook slowly on med/low until the bread starts browning and the cheese starts melting.
  6. Put the fig side on top of the cheese side and press together. 
  7. Flip and cook until both sides are fully toasted.
  8. Remove from heat and let set for two minutes before cutting.
