“WIC Nutritionist Alice Townsend-Williams will be at the farm Tuesday, September 20th from 4-6 PM distributing WIC farmers market coupons.

WIC, which stands for Women, Infants and Children, is a USDA program that provides free nutritious foods, infant formula, breastfeeding support, nutrition counseling and community referrals for income eligible families of pregnant women, postpartum women, infants and children under five. Health Imperatives runs the Nantucket WIC program, which provides services over the phone and in-person. To learn more about the program and see if you qualify, go to mass.gov/WIC.

In addition to regular monthly benefits, the WIC program distributes checks to participating clients to use at local farmers markets and farm stands. These can be used at Bartlett’s on farm grown produce only and are valid until 10/30/2022.
