Wines & Rinds – a wine & cheese tasting

This week, we’re going less “pairing” and more general merriment – it is Saint Patrick’s Day after all!  We’ve got a couple stouts and a few Irish cheeses in the spotlight to ensure happy snacking and sipping.  Cheese-wise, we have the happiest little Irish cheddar in Claddagh-Bo – extra sharp and crumbly with a rich and satisfying texture made by a multi-generation farming family.  Extra festive with its orange, green, and white wax rind!  In addition we have a lovely expression of Irish brie in Wicklow Ban; a rich, creamy, and delectably smooth double cream. 

What’s St Patrick’s Day without a stout from the Emerald Isle – Murphy’s is our pick in this realm.  Silky smooth with toffee and coffee undertones, barely any bitterness, and irresistible creaminess.  We’ll also feature a surprise stout pick from beverage supervisor Mike!
