Wines & Rinds – A wine and cheese tasting
May 5 at 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

We’re not shy about how much we adore Maria Jover’s Monastrell and we’re stoked to include her orange Parajes del Valle Macabeo in our line-up. Aromas of orange blossom and citrus rind explode from the glass. Candied tangerine pith and super ripe melon on the palate with a refreshing tartness on the finish. Grippy and fresh acidity keep things buoyant and primed for the next sip. Whether you’re a tried and true orange wine fan, or are just looking to dip your toe, this bottle is your answer.
To go along with this Spanish newbie we have a tried and true French classic. Comté is a well known and well loved mountain cheese from the Jura Massif region of France, just on the Swiss border. It’s dense and fudgy with toasted nutty notes and can be aged anywhere from 4 – 28 months. This particular one we have has been aged for 12 months so the nutty & caramel notes get a real chance to shine.
