A Winter Adventure in Big Sky, Montana – From Laura Steele

This past month, Tracey (our Deli Manager) along with our Receiving Manager Jack, and I had the incredible opportunity to travel to the breathtaking Yellowstone Club in Big Sky,Montana, for a job fair. For those who may not be familiar, the Yellowstone Club is an exclusive private ski and golf resort, surrounded by majestic snow-capped peaks and pristine wilderness. Their peak season perfectly aligns with our off-season, making it an ideal partner for sharing H2B and domestic workers. It was wonderful to see this partnership in action—and even more special to visit some of our very own Bartlett’s Farm team members who are spending their winter there.

A Warm Reunion in a Winter Wonderland

We were thrilled to reconnect with Rashid from Mexico, Jean from Thailand, and Genesis from Georgia,  U.S., who are working as a Cook, Server, and Baker, respectively, at the Yellowstone Club this season (also their roles at the Farm!) Their enthusiasm for their roles—and for Bartlett’s—was evident throughout our visit. During the job fair, they helped us share what makes working at the Farm so special, and their insights were invaluable in encouraging others to consider joining our team. It was a proud moment to witness their genuine passion and excitement. To show our appreciation, we took the group out to dinner at a charming restaurant down the road at Lone Mountain Ranch. Over hearty dishes and warm conversation, we caught up on their adventures, learned about their experiences at the Yellowstone Club, and shared a little taste of home from Nantucket.

Building Bridges Across Seasons

This trip marked our second visit to the Yellowstone Club for recruiting purposes—Devon (our Chef) and I traveled there in 2023 as well—and each time has been a reminder of the importance of building strong partnerships. By collaborating with organizations like the Yellowstone Club, we can create a flow of opportunities for our seasonal team members, whether they hail from the U.S. or abroad.

Rashid, Jean, and Genesis embody the spirit of flexibility and adaptability that makes seasonal work so rewarding. We’re already looking forward to seeing familiar faces as we prepare for another summer season at Bartlett’s Farm.

Snow-Covered Peaks and Recruiting Success

Beyond the heartwarming reunion, the job fair itself was a great success. Meeting potential candidates in such a spectacular setting was an inspiring reminder of why we prioritize fostering global connections. Whether it’s the shared laughter over dinner, the enthusiastic referrals from our employees, or the snowy vistas that took our breath away, this trip was a testament to the vibrant and interconnected community we’re proud to be part of at Bartlett’s Farm.

As we look ahead to the coming season, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible team members who bring their talents to Bartlett’s and for the partnerships that help us continue to grow as a farm and a family. Here’s to another season of collaboration, adventure, and growth—on both sides of the seasons.
