“Our friend Peppy, a well known Nantucket chef, shares this great basil recipe with friends of the farm.”
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh basil leaves, packed and washed
1 clove garlic
2 dried chilies
2 cups good quality olive oil
pinch of salt and pepper
Directions:
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and run at high speed for 2 to 3 minutes
- Let steep 3 to 4 hours at room temperature
- Strain through cheesecloth
- Spoon over grilled fish, risotto or pasta
