Strawberries in 2023

We have some news to share regarding our organically grown strawberries, and while it’s not exactly what we had hoped for, we believe in transparency and keeping our customers informed on their favorite Bartlett’s produce.

Unfortunately, this year has presented us with some unexpected challenges. Our strawberry plants have been affected by a root disease, resulting in a total loss of this year’s crop. As with certified organic strawberry fields, we faced limitations in treating the fungus that caused the issue, despite our best efforts.

However, we have turned this setback into an opportunity for growth and improvement. We have secured a new field for next year’s strawberry production, one that has not been used for strawberries before. This fresh start will allow us to minimize any potential disease risks and deliver the exceptional, organically-grown strawberries you’ve come to love.

While we understand this news may come as a disappointment, our commitment to organic farming remains steadfast, and we are excited to farm this new field with the same organic methods that we employ around the farm.

We genuinely appreciate your continued support, patience, and understanding with this news.  We value the trust you have placed in us and are working hard behind the scenes to make next year’s strawberry season even more plentiful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.

We are eagerly looking forward to sharing the joy of freshly picked, organically grown strawberries with you again next season!
